Where Winter Turns to Light

The Atlantic

As Europe winds down into winter and the last leaves fall from the Riviera’s promenades, ULYSSIA follows the sun’s gentle retreat across the Atlantic. The days grow calmer here, the light warmer – no longer the same heat of summer, but the softer kind that gently lingers on the skin.

The Caribbean greets ULYSSIA with open arms. In Antigua, the scent of hibiscus drifts from hidden gardens, St. Barth’s brings mornings of quietude and afternoons that stretch without end. In St. Kitts and Nevis, time itself seems to slow and the sea reflects the sky in infinite shades of blue.

Further south, the Grenadines shimmer like scattered jewels – Bequia’s painted boats, Mustique’s turquoise waters and Tobago Cays where the horizon disappears into light. In Barbados, coral shores shimmer under the sun, the scent of aged rum drifts through the air and the taste of local dishes tells stories as rich as the sea.

As the year draws further to its close, ULYSSIA drifts onwards toward Dominica’s volcanic heart, Martinique’s perfumed hills and the lush stillness of Saint Lucia. Evenings are spent beneath skies alive with stars, where the constellations themselves seem to follow our course.

Here, in the heart of winter, the world feels newly alive – radiant, unhurried and impossibly blue. This is a season not of endings, but of new beginnings: a time to sail toward light, to find warmth in motion and to rediscover the joy of the journey itself.
